Gliomas are tumors that arise from cells within the brain and can differ substantially in grade, location, and expected behavior. Surgical evaluation considers imaging, symptoms, neurological function, and how a procedure may contribute to diagnosis and the broader treatment plan.

Because glioma treatment can involve more than surgery, recommendations may be coordinated with oncology, neurology, and other specialists. The aim is to give each patient a clear understanding of the surgical role, the available options, and the next steps in care.
